Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Activity 1
For this activity I had to listen a number of waiata,read the lyrics and I have to put the name of the song that I liked the most and why I liked it.
The song I liked the most is Te Arikinui.I liked this song because I liked how the music was so light and calm,I also liked this song because how the two people that sang the song weren't loud and weren't using a loud voice.

ReplyDeleteFantastic work on another great post!! You are a star! I’m very interested, Te Arikinui sounds like a nice gentle waiata to sing and listen to. Could you tell me a little bit more about the song? Maybe the translation into English and who the song writer was?
My favourite waiata is a very famous one. Poi E. It’s about protecting a young woman from danger. But I love the joyous rhythm to the sound and I especially love watching people perform with a poi. They make it look so easy, I thought it so difficult to learn when I was younger.
Have you ever learnt poi before? Do you think it’s challenging or maybe you’re just a natural! :)
