Show and Tell-Discriptive Writing



LI: to write a descriptive scene
This week we have been learning about discritptive writing.
We had tried to write an discriptive writing toegether then we went to write our own.
This week I had to write about discriptive writing also show and tell.
I had to write about what I saw for tell and for show I had to show what I saw on the photo and write about what I saw in the photo for exaple-The sun shined down on my face.

This week for cybersmart I am learning about netiquette. 
For cybersmart I had to make a DLO about formal & informal language. For cybersmart I have also made this DLO about behavior rules. This week for cybersmart I have writed a example for formal & informal langauge, For behavior rules I had to write rules about how to behave  online.

Dolphins-MRS GREN





LI: To prove that a organism is living by using MRS. GREN. This week for inquiry we had to make a video of a organism that is living by using MRS. GREN. First we had to choose a organism as a group. My group and I decided to go with Dolphins. Then we had to choose which MRS. GREN we are doing. Sandra decided to do movement, Sulia decided to do reproduce, Lorenzo decided to do grow, Alice decided to do excrete, Akuhata decided to do respiration and I decided to do sensitivity. Sandra, Alice, Lorenzo and I did nutrition. Once we learnt about dolphins we had to make a DLO to put our information in. 
This week for inqiury the Sea Lions have made a DLO and a video about Dolphins.
This week for inqiury the Sea Lions have been working on how dolphins Move, Reproduce, Sense, Grow, Respire, Excrete & Nutirtion. For inqiury the Sea Lions have made a video about dolphins and how their body works. For inqiury we have been working on a video and DLO.

Kiwi Can

Kiwi Can
This week for kiwi can LS1 group B played two games, One energizer and one activity.

Energizer: This week for kiwi can we played cone snacher, In this game you have to snatch the cone before your patner snatches it. For this game there was 4 lines, In each line there was a person who will be your patner, If miss Lily says cat we have to touch the cone and if miss Lily says  bat or anouther word we don't get the cone.

Activity: For our activity we played hand soccer. For this game we were numberd, When our number is called we have to run quiqly and touch the cones on the other side of us. In this game there is a ball and we have to score into the other groups goal.

Points: For our points group B got 24 points, For our points we got 5 and 4 for each lable

This week for writing I am writing a recount about Tom the dog who got lost in the forest.
In this narrative I am making up some things about what is happening to Tom, In  this narrative a girl named Lucy finds Tom in the forest. The girl named Lucy reads what is on his collar and on Tom's collar is his name and phone number. The girl named Lucy calls the number on Tom's collar.

Compulsory Tasks, Explanation, Circultory System


LI: To learn about the circulatory system
This week for inqiury we were learning about the circulatory system. For our compulsory tasks we were learning about the ciculatory system. This week we were working on our explanation. For the explanation you have to have an title,introduction,explanation and conculsion. The main parts of the circulatory system are-The heart and the blood vessels make up the circulatory system. The circulatory system includes these parts the-Heart,  lungs , Arteries, Veins  Artery, Arteriole, Capillary & Venule.

This week for kiwi sport LS1 group B played Rippa Rugby.
For this game there is four groups, Two groups have to get a diffrent tag than the other two groups.
For this game it involes a rugby ball, The first group with the ball has to get the ball to the other groups goal, If the person running with the ball gets ripped they have to pass the ball to someone in their group and that person should try to score the goal.

Maori - How to weave a fish - Google Maps Searching

This week for maori we read a book about a taniwha.

For maori we learnt how to weave a fish. I't was really hard to learn how to weave a fish, When I tried weaving a fish I had to try a few times because my first woven fish was not done properly.

This week for kiwi can LS1 group B played two games, One energizer and one activity.

Energizer: For our energizer we played Shark Attack. For shark attack there are four hola hoops on each conner. There will be two taggers picked, One will be a girl and the other will be a boy.
For shark attack the taggers will have to tag anyone with their feet out of the hola hoop or people that are still walking.

Activity: For our activity we played hand soccer. For this game we were numberd, When our number is called we have to run quiqly and touch the cones on the other side of us. In this game there is a ball and we have to score into the other groups goal.

Points: For our points group B got 25 points, For our points we got 5 for each lable.

Commenting

Today for commenting I writed a comment on Lila's blogpost.

Kiwi Sport

This week for Kiwi Sports. We first had to get a belt and two tags.Then we got put into groups there was for groups i was in group four group four was really good at the games we played.I liked the games because it was really fun.The games we were playing were ripa rush we liked playing that game. We all had tures and number one and two were first and then it was number three and four. Then number two was playing number four and number one were playing number three it was fun playing against our friends.We all had fun together.

This week we were focusing on ripping and taging.

Japanese & Chinese Method



LI. To learn different ways to multiply. This week for maths we had to create a DLO explaning how to do the Lattis and Japanese methods to solve equations. I found the lattis and japanese really hard because I had to divid mostly.

Circulatory System-Fishbone


LI: To define respiration/LI: To describe the structures and respective functions in the human respiratory system and circulatory system. This week for inquiry we were learning about the circulatory system. We had to finish off our compulsory tasks which were the explanation, the fish bone, the poetry and the sculpture. My group and I managed to get the fish bone done. For the fish bone we got two credits. All together my group and I have 25 credits. If we buy a question/answer with Mr. Wong and Mr. Ogilvie we have to give 5 credits. If we want to buy a question where we make a question ourselves we have to give the teachers 10 credit.

Narrative


LI: to learn the structure and language of the Narrative
This week for writing I was writing about how to do an narrative, What a narrative needs and what a narrative is. I writed about TOPES, Figrative languge and what a narrative is.
A narrative can be a memory,Personal experince,Made up story or a time with friends and family-Personal experience.

Why our mucles get tired-Flipgrid

I: to self monitor understanding of words and phrases.
This week I learnt about what makes our mucles and why our mucles get tired.
This week for reading we had to do a flipgrid video about the three new words we learnt. 
The three words I learnt were:Flight of stairs-A lot of stairs, Squeezer- When somebody is squezing a peg to see how fit there finger is & vibrate-when something shakes in a regular and repeated motion.

Kiwi Can

This week for Kiwi Can LS1 group B played three games- an energizer, activity and GKQ-master.
Energizer: For our energizer we played Copy Me, We got into 4 groups. For this game we used cards, You have to do what the cards number or whats on the card, For exaple: Number 4- Do 8 push ups.

Activity: For our activity we played Buddy Move, For buddy move we had to find a patner, My first patner was Sulia and when miss Lily said Banana we had to swich, Apple we had to go under our buddys legs, fruit salad we had to switch patners and for pear we had to find two other patners.

The last game we played was Master,  For Master we had to anwser questions that have been asked, if you say the wrong anwser you have to sit down and the person who said the right anwser had to move to the next person.

This week we didn't have enough time to do our points.

Focus
I think we need to work on our respect for the focus.


Maori-Matariki


This week for Maori we did a word search and we also sang a Matariki song- Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi, Tupuanuku, Tupuarangi & Uruarangi are the names of the stars. This week we learned about what will happen if you kept picking sea food every day - If you pick sea food for a long time from the same area the sea food will be gone because there were no more to grow and produce.

Retail shopping

LI: To identfy advatages in shopping in person and online.
This week for cybersmart we made atvantages  in shopping in person and atvantages about shopping online. I think it's better to shop in person because I actualy get to see the price.
I learnt about whats good about shopping online and in person.
I learnt this by doing this task.

Kiwi Can

This week for Kiwi Can LS1 GroupB played 1 game and 1 energizer.

Energizer: For our energizer we played cat & mouse,In this game two people are chosen to either be the cat or the mouse. The cat chases the mouse with a swimming item and has to try tag the mouse.

Game: For our game we had a dance off, Miss Lily writed a famouse persons name on the white board, We had to act like who ever it was, The people that were picked first was Mojtaba and Alayah and they had to act like john cena.

Focus: I think we need to work on our respect.

This week I learnt about role models, I learnt about this by helping my sisters and I also learnt that a role model shoud never teach other to do bad things.

Matariki-Maori

This week for Maori we had Whai Odie. We were learning about Matariki. If we didn't finish our Pepeha's we had to finish it. First had to tell Whai Odie some things about Matariki. Then we had to get in partners. In our partners we needed one chrome book and had to find stories of Matariki on youtube. We needed to find four stories of Matariki. After that we had to tell Whai Odie some things we discovered about Matariki. Once we finished that we learnt a new song about the six sisters and the Matariki. We also sang another Maori song. Mantis Shrimp


This week for writing I had to write about the mantis shrimp.
I had to write an explanation about the mantis shrimp, I learnt how to write paragraphs but not good paragraphs. I learnt what happens with mantis shrimp.

Samoan Langauge Week



Vaisaso o le Ganga, This week is Samoan Language Week,I worked with Viva and Joel. In our group we had to create a DLO about Samoan Language Week, Our group worked on White sunday, We writed about what types of food their are,Why the White sunday is celebrated and what the Samoan families wear to white sunday.

Nutrition-Tasks



This week for inquiry we had to finish off our compulsory tasks. My group and I finished our compulsory task and we are now doing the elective tasks. The compulsory task that we finished this week was the explanation, the Venn diagram the word ring. My group and I have fifteen points. We got a point for the explanation and the word ring, but we got 2 points for the Venn diagram. We could either get one point or two points. If we have five points we can buy a question and answer with Mr. Wong and Mr. Ogilvie, but if we get ten points we can buy a question where we can write down a question that only our group knows. I had a lot of fun finishing all the compulsory tasks with my group. My group and I just need to finish off the elective tasks.
