LI: Reading comprehension strategies help us understand what we are reading. This week we have been learning about Fairytales, Myths & Legends. What is a fairytale-A Fairytale is mostly a story made up, Fairytales are simmalar to Myths. Fairytales can include made up characters or animals. What is a Myth- A Myth is something like a story with made up creatures and animals for example a half horse half human person and animal. What is a Legend- A Legend is someone or something that made history, For example Sir Edmund Hillary he made history by being the first ever person to climb mount everest. Reading Stradigies- This week we have also been learning about our reading stradgies. Before Reading- We Predict,Self monitor and use Skimming. During Reading- We Ask questions,Make connections and Visualize. After Reading- We Inferring,QAR
