Self Monitoring

L.I: To monitor our understanding of a text.
This week for reading we had to get into pairs with a person from a different reading group. We had to read an article called - Adam Hall wins gold at Paralympic Winter Games. We had to take note of all the different words we didn't know and make a copy of a document which had a template on it and write down all those words in the different slots. On the document there was a list of the variety of the fix up strategies. We had to use one strategy for each word. We had to write the word we were stuck on and why, what strategy we used, and what it means now that we know it. I didn't know only 3 words which were (penultimate, Paralympic,Snared

Duffy Assembly

Today the whole school and me had Duffy Assembly. We met Taylah Hodson and Matt Johnson,We learnt a lot about them.

What did you learn:I learnt that reading is good.

How did you learn this:I learnt this by listining to how Taylah and Matt's story.

Kiwi Can

Today at Kiwi Can we played two games.

How to play:

1. Game:In this game you have to have more than 21 people,Next you have to get into a big circle,Lastly you will need a soft ball like a netball.
2. Game:In this game you will need more than a group of 2 people,Next the first person has to stand up,Lastsly your group has to act the emotion and you have to guess it.

What did you learn:I learnt what to do when somebodys really angry,(Leave them alone and tell the teacher)

Cybersmart-Organising our Drive

LI:To organise our files correctly

Today for Cybersmart we had to clean up our drive by Bining or moving creations from google drive to importaint topics.

How to clean your Google Drive: First you have to get one of your creations from google drive and move it to either bin or one of your importaint topics,Secondly all you have to do is keep on moving creations from google drive to the bin or importaint topics,Thirdly your Google Drive is clean.

What did you learn:I learn't what to do when my google drive is messy.
How did you learn this:I learnt this by doing this task.

Today I commented on Alayah's blog post. 

I learned by going and clicking on Alayah's profile link and then commenting on his blog post. 

Kiwi Sport

Today at kiwi sport we got into two big groups,Bating group and feilding group that switch two times.
How to feild:When your feilding you have to catch the ball or get it and throw it to the person who catches it and throws it to the coach.
How to bat:When your bating you have to have your little knockels lined up,Your hands have to be together and the bat on your sholder.

Math Subtraction Place Value

L.I to use a place value house to solve Subtraction.
I learnt how to solve a subtraction equation but using a Place value house. I learnt it by getting the equation from the math site. After that I got the slide and made a copy. Then I made the place value and made the Place value house to solve the subtraction. Last I solved the 1.8 + 2.7 and I found the answer by using the Place value house.

Today for writing I had to make a recount about the video pigeon impossible.

LI: To work together as a group and make a motto.


Today for inquiry we had to work in a group of 4 and come up with more than 3 mottos from catorgarys of groups like (Nike-Just do it). My groups motto is:There is no I in team,And why we named it that is because:The team motto represents the us working toegether.

L.I to learn what self - Monitoring means and how to use it when reading.

Self - Monitoring means when you have to read a text in the book and when you read a word that you don't understand then you have to stop and use the strategies to try and figure out what the word means.

Device Skills

LI:To learn and use core digital device skills.
Today for cybersmart we were learning new device skills.
We used this for faster ways of using device skills.
The new one I learnt was (Ctr y) I't Delets work or texts.

Kiwi Can

Today for Kiwi Can we played 2 games and a warm up game.

Introducing: Mr Ben, Mr Matt, Ms Lilly, Miss Emma, LS1/Group B

First Game/Warm up:In this game we had to get into a big circle,Next we had to get a ball and lightly throw it to eachother and when we get to the person who is 21 they have to sit down.

Next Game:In this game we talked about who we look up to and our roll models,Mr Ben's Roll model was Mr Matt,Mr Matt has a amazing voice. Mr Matt looks up to his parents because he says his parents always helped him and Ms Lilly said the same thing. My Roll Model is My Mom+Dad,Bruno Mars,Post Malone and Paris Globel a famouse dancer.

The Last Game:In the last game we had one leader at a time,I was the first Leader and Ms Lilly would write some one famouse or an animal or some on in the school.My awnser was spongebob.

LI:To learn how to pitch
Today for kiwi sport we had 2 games,one was the warm up and the other is the real game.
Home Run:In the warm up we got split up into 2 big groups,As we run we have to touch the base's with our feet and try to beat the person behind ourselfs or in front of ourselfs.
The last game we play was Pitching,In the game pitching we had to go to any cone and at that cone there would prombly be a person and that person was our patner,The first thing we did was hold the ball and flick the ball with our rist to our patner,The last thing we did was turn into a L and then turn into a K and use our rist to flick it like a Rockstar.

LI:To learn how to be a good leader

Today for Kiwi Can (LS1)(Group B) played 2 games. The first game we played was a hammer game,When you play this game you will need one person to play with,If a person says down then the person with the hand on top takes their hand to the bottom and then if the person says up you put the bottom hand on top,If the person says hammer than the top hand drops their hand on the others hand.

In the last game we had to get into 3 groups and the teachers had to be in one group,When you play somebody would tap your shoulder and show you the moves.

The last game we played was JKQ and the teacher would ask someone something and they would make a noise or do a action and say the awnser.

Today at Kiwi Sport we got split up into two big groups,Because we were playing soft ball.
In soft ball one group would bat and one group would catch a ball.How to play(Bating)If you bat you have to have your stronger hand on top of the weak hand and they have to be toegether,When you swing your bat should be on your shoulder.Catching:When you catch you have to wait for the person to bat both of the balls and then you go and get the balls and put them on the cones.
