Kiwi Sport-Swimming

This week for kiwi sport we did swimming.
Our swimming teacher was James, James taught us how to do some swimming things.

How to entre the pool-To entre the pool we had to put our hands together, One on top of the other and the we gentaly jumed in.
Another way to jump in is to take one big step, Then jump in lightly like a pencil.

Swimming Stradiges
When we got in the pool we did one swimming stradigie first, The first swimming stradige we did was kind of hard but I think I did a little good. To do the first stradige you have to put your hands toegether, One on top of the other, Then you have to kick off thesmall trapoline. As you kick off you have to keep your head down and put one hand down and the other has to go up to the side.
For the next stradige you have to have two swimming toys,First you drop the two swimming toys on the ground, Then we have to go get the toys at the bottom of the pool.

The 3rd stradige we did we did was done on our backs, We had to lie on our backs and kick a little bit and move our arms up and down like a jellyfish. The 4th stradige we did was the rotation, For the rotation you have to lie on your tummy and move your arms around the sides for six seconds and then turn to your back and move your arms up and down.

Media

This week for cybersmart we have been learning about Media.
Media is something that you use for example: Google, Google is a type of searching tool that we use to search for things. Media can be a peice of paper with information on it. Media also uses internet to comunicate with people or search for place's. Media mostly involves devices like laptops and phones. Media helps contact with people and comunicate with the world, Media can use apps like facebook and instgram to comunicate and post thing all over the world. This week for cybersmart we had to get into a group of 2 or 3, With this group we had to work on What is Media together as a group. Media is like social apps.

Narrative Planner

This week for writing we had to get into a group of three, With our groups we had to write about our previous mini olympic challenge. For this weeks writing we had to write about the five W's which are who,where,when,what & why and comes under orientation. For our problem we had to write about something bad that happen and it wasn't suppose to. For our events we had to write down all the things that we did in the challenges. For solution we had to write down something that will solve the problem.

Duffy Theatre

This week we had visitors, Our Visitors were Duffy,Jahney & Shantel.

For Duffy Theatre we played a few quick rounds of Duffy says, This game is simmalar to Simon says. To play this game you just have to do what Duffy says, For example Duffy says fold your arms and legs.

For Duffy Theatre we watched Duffy,Shantel & Jahney performe. One of the performances we watched was The Halloween Bully, In this performance Shantel was the bully and Jahney was the person who was being bullyed by Shantel. Shantel had told Jahney alot of bad jokes about bones and her body.

Blogging Challenge 2-Tom Gates Epic Adventure

This week for challenge 2 I have created a DLO about the book I have read named Tom Gates Epic Adventure. This book involved Tom, Grandpa Joe, Grandma Pet & Tom's Mom. Tom's grandparents had traveled all around the world and learnt new languges, Toms Grandma said Paz Y amor this means Love & Peace in spanish. This week I have learnt what Paz y amor means. I have learnt what Paz y amor means by reading a book named Tom Gates-Epic Adventure.

Flowers

Facts About Flowers

Flowers are normally planted in the Evening or Morning because if you plant them at day the sun will kill the flowers.

Flowers get their food from the sun,Water and minerals in the soil.

Without Sunlight & Water Flowers will die.

Plants take in carbon dioxide, or CO 2 ,through little holes in their leaves, which are called stomata. They then produce and release oxygen through the stomata.

How Flowers Grow

There are three things flowers need to grow, Flowers need Water,Sun Dirt or Soil.

First flowers are planted into dirt or soil, Next plants are watered but if you use too much water that could cause the flower to die & lastley flowers will need as much sun as they can get but not too much sun or that could also kill the flower.

This week for challenge 1 I have made a DLO flowers, I have learnt about how to grow a flower and what time a flower should be planted.
Flowers should be planted around evenings and mornings. This week for challenge 1 I have been writing about what flowers need to grow and facts about flowers. Flowers need sun and water or they will die.

Quiz Week

This term for inqiury we have been learning about whats living.

This term we have been learning about the organs in our body, The main parts and other parts in our body & the body systems.

This week for reading we have been learning about how to inferr.
To inferr you have to use your own prior knowledge and use information from the text.
This week I had to make a quiz about the book I read, I read the book Not So Normal.
This week I had to make T-chart about the book I read to prove that I have read the book and I understand the book properly.  For reading I have made a T-chart and a Quiz.

MnM Fractions

L.I To understand mixed numbers, Improper, Proper and equivalent fractions.

This week for maths I worked with Florence. This week for maths we had to use DLO about MnMs,Fractions,Decimals & Percentages. For maths this week we had to count the Mnms to know how much are   in total,For maths one patner had to count the Mnms and the other partner had to write how much Mnms are in each coulor. This week me and Florence have been using fractions and Mnms.
