Catapult/Catapult game

This week for inqiury we had to create a DLO about a tecnolegy-(You can only choose out of Ladder,Trebuchet,Catapult,Cannon & Esclade which is a ladder with whells. 

This week we also played a game which included the device that we choosed and the last weeks tecnolegy which was a hill fort.

For the DLO we had to create a google slide about the tecnolegy we choosed and we choosed a catapult, In the DLO we had to write about what the tecnolegy is this means we had to write about two historical examples.

For the DLO we also had to write intresting facts and information about the catapults, Here is one example-Catapults were used in the 4th century.

For the game we had invaders and defenders, In this game the invaders have catapults and the defenders have a moutain and they get two lifes if they die once.

In the game you can only move one time, The invaders also can kill people that are four blocks away you can kill them with the catapult. If a defender kills one invader moving a catapult that means the two invaders using the catapult are both dead.

In this game the materials that were used were four blue counters,Four pink counters, A six sided dice, A ruled peice of paper and a yellow counter. 

I think our group did good with working together on the DLO and each person spoke their part of the DLO. I think the only thing our group needs to work on are cofidence, Louder talking & focus on words.

Hill Fort - Hill Fort Game

This week for inqiury we have been working on Hill Forts, Ramparts & Trenches.
For inqiury we had to create a DLO about a Rampart,Trenches or Hill forts, We had to work in a group of four to five. For Inqiury my group choose to agree with Hill forts, We had to write about what Hill forts are and other information about Hill forts and related things to Hill forts.

For our DLO we writed about what hill forts are used for,We also put images of a hill fort for a example of what hill forts look like. What is a hill fort? A hill fort is a village,Castel or building used for defence in war.  This week for inqiury we had to look for information about hill forts, One of the sites we used was this Site.

We also played a game about Hill forts, In this game the materials that were used were four blue counters,Four pink counters, A six sided dice, A ruled peice of paper and a yellow counter. In this game the pink are the invaders and the blue are the defenders. For this game the pink group will be at one side of the paper and the defenders will be at the side with a montain.

For this game the defenders get the turn to move or pass, In the game defenders and invaders get to choose who they'll attack. They can only attack that person if they are one step away from the person who they will attack.
